A difficult setting to expose correctly but you managed very well. Again, great use of lighting, composition, colors and textures.

Heh heh. I actually have a pretty thrilling story about last time I went out for a shoot. Anyone who wants to hear it can drop me a PM...

So much color in such a broken place.....it makes for a very nice shot.

 06/13/06 @854

This is your best "at home indoor" shot so far... ;)

You seriously need to buy yourself a better vaccum cleaner IMO... :p

Great shot!

The use of external light from the window is great.
The details are extra ordinary.

So no post editing? ;)

Wow... I want to live there ! So amazingcoolplace. How do you find places like this?
I think that window is pretty interesting addition to this shot... somehow it looks like a painting or drawing and awesome details!

Well done!

Edit: Ok, well here we don't have... how depressing. And oh, tell me the story too if you want !

I like this one even better than the previous. Excellent work, Brandon. I'm impressed. +10

Oh, I'd like to hear about your near-death experience...

Avatar Byonder

I'm always on the lookout for places like these whenever I'm out. If I notice one I make a note to visit it at a later time. Thankfully (?) New Jersey seems to have a decent number of abandoned buildings despite it's relatively small size.

Love the colors, the composition and your imagination creating a story about the adventures of a chair :)

Ha, I like the title, nice capture, you have a good eye for getting in the contrasts and textures. This isn't as nice as the previous chair one but still very well taken.

nice shot again byonder. these chair captures are awesome.

did you take two exposures for this?

Impresive series of shots... really like the feel and mood presented in all the photo's well done.

Avatar s8n

 06/14/06 @293

Yeah another cool shot! IMO the previous had better mood! Here are many things to look on - the previous - there was only the chair to focus! But still realy well done!

btw. may i ask you what filters you use (if you use) or it is top secret stuff ;):p...thx

I have to hand it to you, you find some remote areas and make them beautiful, wonderful, I am impressed. I really like the window......

Avatar Traff

 06/15/06 @788

Another very evocative piece. I'm getting increasingly concerned that I worry so much about these chairs. This one looks like it's committed suicide, that electric cable coming down from the ceiling has a lethal look about it.
More of a landscape feel about this one, rather than the portraits of the other 'chair pics' but it adds a nice slant to the 'story'.
Strange how the world outside looks less real than the world inside.

i like the part of the wall thats warpped and moldy - the tree outside of the window looks kinda fake. it looks like the outside "world" is creeping in and taking over what used to be an office or something.

great picture!!!

Love it! What a great example of how to use HDR properly! Great job preserving the contrast of the scene (something that's quite challenging with HDR).
