Description
I don't do a tremendous amount of figure photography, so this is something a little different, but also a little the same.I was commissioned to do a press-kit photo-shoot for a local hardcore/rock band, Dawn Escape.
I dragged them all to one of my favorite locations. It was about 30 degrees Fahrenheit out (-1 Celsius), so they've probably all got pneumonia now, but I think the shots came out pretty well.

While the surroundings have been captured as well as usual.
The placement of the members could be something that could be experimented with... Just a thought !!!
BTW don't quite know your views on use of external/off camera flashes ...... ????

The image itself... the best way I can describe it is as the visual equivalent of listening to a really finely tuned HiFi set up where there's plenty of 'separation' between the individual instruments... you can feel that you could put your hand into the picture and there'd be space behind each of the individual characters. Because of that the image has a much more intense feeling of depth than many of your non-occupied images - as well as the human interest element of course.
The only thing that's itching at my hindbrain is that the two figures at far right and far left look a little 2 dimensional - as if they've been cut and pasted into the scene - they seem to lack the volume of the other two figures who seem to merge more convincingly into the surroundings. They remind me of life-size marketing cut-outs
Also like the way you've avoided the garish colouring of some of your previous HDR posts - this is far more convincing - there's a real progression in you work here.
